FFXIV Pre-Order

Hi there,

Does game.ie or any other game shop in Ireland Pre-sell FFXIV (Final Fantasy 14)

Gamestop.ie does not. (They never have any pre-sales on MMO's, they didn't have Warhammer, or AION either)

I really hope we have any shop.

I love games with good stories - my finest memories are of playing games which swept me away with their plots and made me forget about my real life for a while)

Ive been following heavy rain for a while and was pleased to see that there was no online element. For me, multiplayer is the gaming eqivalent of reality TV - fun in bouts but ultimately shallow.

It seemed for a while there that games were starting to focus almost entirely on the multiplayer aspect, with stories getting left further and further behind. Take crackdown for example - a game which is clearly meant to be played in co-op as otherwise the experience just feels empty.

So, what think ye? Even if a game only lasts me 10 hours id still prefer it to a multiplayer only title - which you might play for months but what are you really achieving?

And dont get me started on MMORPG's...

ease of online gaming

WAAAAAAAA! I'm at my wits end. How does a game that sold itself as a co-op game then leave out, or at least make krypton factor hard I haven't figured out which, the ability to invite friends to that game. Instead you have to put you game into the hands of a complete unknown?

Also is there any plans but the good people at this site, and indeed Click magazine, which I bough on Pete's recomendation, to add that aspect to their reviews?

I know in this site they have their catagories and system for scoring all worked out probably but considering that most, if not all games are cashing in on the network buzz it should warrant a footnote that while it's easy to get online it's not easy to do so with anyone you know, just some bitter little twat somewhere who is as likely to sabotage your game as help it just for shits and giggles.

You can word that last bit differently in your mag if you want to Pete.

Does anyone here play Guild Wars? I cant get enough of it and am looking forward to GW 2.
Me and a friend team up in the game to do the missions together as it makes it more fun and alot easier too.
I would love to play WoW but i dont want to pay a monthly fee.
