Never been a reader of graphic novels but picked this up recently, read a little and was so impressed i ordered the ABSOLUTE Edition over the net (which is a wonder to behold).

Have to admit the story is amazing and the art really adds to it. One of the better stories I've read in a long time.

Not sure what to think of the film just yet, the images look impressive and accurate but Snyder would want to have matured an awful lot since 300 to do it the justice it deserves.

Anyone else fan?

Foo fighter here
Im sure your all fed up of seeing post about new mods seeking help but i feel this one has a particular edge

Im a games development student in Ireland and im a big fan of Supernatural the TV show you guys have in the states so one day the bucket drops and i decide to put them together and i get

So yes im developing a free mod based on a tv show a popular one at that and i need volunteers skilled at modelling characters like sam and dean,programmers, concept artists and many more basically if you have an input of any measure or size and i approve your in
A knowledge of Source SDK and the engine in general is preferred but not essential

Its a great opportunity to show your talent off and add it to your resume

I really dont need an awful lot of guys/gals with talent to do this

I mean really how in the name of all creation did this come into being. I'm not fan of Jack Black and am growing a little bored of Michael Cera's single expression and imporbably high voice but Harold Ramis made this. He made Ghostbusters!!!

So this was the worst film I've seen in basically forever and what I really wanted to know was - Did anyone enjoy it?

Maybe there was some massive joke that me, and the entire audience, was missing out on when Jack Black spent the better part of a minute eating shit.

So I watched this film last night and I have to admit I wasnt overly impressed. Sure the story is clever and the film has a lot of energy but it was also wholly predictable and a little unaffecting.

Anyone else less than impressed with this current award show darling?

So i had a look at the "Members" section and it states that this forum has 520 members and well i was thinking to myself where the hell are they?
Ok fair enough some of the members are probably in school, may have exams coming up or are busy with work but what about the rest of them?

Out of the 520 only 100 have actually posted on here, thats 19.2% of the total members
Out of the 100 who have posted 82 of those have had 10 or less posts to their name.
So that means just 18 members have had more than 10 posts.
Come on guys and gals, I'm sure you have some free time to come here and post if you had time to sign up to the forums.
As long as you havent forgotten that the forum still exists, which might be why so few have posted. Maybe a nice bulk email to the members is needed to remind them of this place and get it buzzing.

So was at this screening last night (yay movies.ie free screeings!) and wasnt all that impressed. Yes it was sometimes funny in a genial kind of way. Yes it has a well written script and 2 great leads who were really committed to it but that isnt really enough. the story was twisty but in an arrogant way, the kind of film which was enjoying messing around with the audience just a little too much for my liking. and the pacing was ridiculously slow, although they have to be commended for making a spy film without any action scenes. sort of.

The exchanges between Owen and Roberts are the right mix of witty and bitchy but they arent enough to sustain a 2 hour film. And, I'm sorry to say, she just looks a little old for the role.

What the film really needed though was a bit of a backbone. This is a complicated romantic thriller about adults doing lots of adult things but the language is ridiculously reserved and the content so carefully PG-13 that its almost laughable. Exactly what 12/13 year olds are rushing out to watch people in their 40s talking to eachother very fast?

Next time; try harder, let them talk like grown ups and make being a spy seem just a tiny bit, you know, FUN!

Heya, just wondering, is anybody/ did anybody go to the Pet Expo? I was going to but I'm a bit sad as my bird just died, and I've had him for 11 years, since I was two. Remember picking him out and everything! And then you arent allowed bring your pets, so my dog might get lonely. So, anyone go? Any thoughts on it?
